360 video booths are showpieces. They can be the highlight of an event — but they are not the right fit for every venue or crowd. Here is how to decide quickly whether the 360 is right for your event.
When 360 Is Worth It
Launch events and brand activations where social sharing is the primary goal are the natural home of the 360 booth. High-energy weddings with a dance-heavy crowd who will love a slow-motion video clip of their best moments. Corporate parties where you want one clear “wow” moment that sets the event apart. School events where students specifically want short video content to share on social platforms rather than printed keepsakes.
When It Is Not Worth It
Very tight spaces where a small crowd cannot gather safely around the platform make the 360 impractical regardless of how good the footage looks. Events where guests primarily want printed favors to take home are better served by a traditional print booth. Venues with strict footprint limitations may not be able to accommodate the 360 setup plus the necessary queue space.
Plan for Flow
360 works best when there is a clear entry and exit path, groups know exactly where to stand on the platform, and sessions are kept short to prevent long queues. Place it where a small gathering crowd can form without blocking exits, service paths, or other event elements.
Branding That Performs
Just like photo overlays, keep 360 video branding tasteful: small logo, event name, and date. Over-branding reduces organic shares because guests do not want to post content that looks like an advertisement. The goal is a video clip that feels like a premium personal moment, not a branded asset.
Our recommendation: The 360 pairs exceptionally well with a traditional print booth. Guests get both the shareable video moment and the physical keepsake print. It is our most requested combination for upscale weddings and corporate galas.
